The client's home had accumulated a strong collection of individual smart devices — Sonos speakers, dimmer switches, a Somfy blind motor, and several HVAC units — but no unified way to manage them. Six different apps, inconsistent interfaces and an underpowered consumer router meant the system fell short of its potential at every turn.
Torsido Technologies was engaged to design and deliver a complete Smart Hub integration. The brief: consolidate every device — Sonos multi-room audio, Control4 lighting, Atlantic HVAC, Somfy motorised blinds, Warmup underfloor heating, and the full network stack — into a single, professionally programmed Control4 ecosystem accessible from two wall-mounted T4 tablets and three mobile devices.
The result is a home that now works as a single intelligent system: one tap sets the mood for dinner, one scene prepares the house for sleep, and complete remote access from anywhere in the world gives the client total control — on the sofa or on another continent.
Control4 Core 3 Hub
Selected as the central Smart Hub controller. Control4's Core 3 orchestrates every device, scene, schedule and automation — processing commands in under 80ms.
Sonos Multi-Room Audio
Era 300 (Living), Era 100 (Bedroom), Roam 2 (Bathroom), Outdoor Sonance speakers and a dedicated Sonos Amp — each zone individually controllable from a single interface.
Lighting & Shading
10 Control4 dimmer zones, 4 auxiliary keypads and Somfy's 6-motor gateway were integrated to create perfectly orchestrated light and shade scenes per room and time of day.
Climate & Heating
4 Atlantic HVAC integration modules and Warmup underfloor heating were brought under Control4 control — responding to schedules, occupancy patterns and custom scenes.
5-Point Control
Two Control4 T4 touchscreens mounted at key locations, plus three mobile devices running the Control4 app — giving the entire household seamless, consistent access.
